In April 2020 Amaha We Uganda launched an appeal for funds to provide food for the neediest families, in Kasese District,
whose lives had been severely impacted by Lockdown. Some of the money raised provided food for well over 1000 people and was managed through local churches.
The rest of the money was used to buy seed. This seed was distributed to some of our women's groups for planting in August 2020 in order to prevent famine.
The following photos show these women bringing beans from a bounteous harvest to share with those women who did not receive initial seed.
We are so grateful to all who donated and it is joyous to see that initial seed turned to seeds of hope for many.
