The first activity of Mission 2023 was to meet up with our Ugandan team at the Nabugabo Retreat Centre, near Masaka, run by The Church of Uganda. This enabled a time of fellowship and an opportunity to talk about successes and challenges of the projects, over the last 4 years, during Covid. We talked about next steps and discussed the upcoming programme. The team were also able to debrief following the massacre at the school in Mpondwe which had personally impacted them and many of the people we know.
Nabugabo is a place of calm before the fast pace of the mission. There are always a few curious visitors on a hunt for food too.
