In 2005 and 2007 I visited the Kasese district in Western Uganda. On the first occasion it was as part of a group who wanted to experience life in Uganda and work alongside fellow Christians. In 2007 it was as part of the Hope for Uganda project (now renamed Amaha we Uganda) that grew out of the 2005 visit.

Reflecting nearly 7 years later I can’t believe where the time has gone and sadly how I have not managed to return once again to the place that definitely holds a special place in my heart. That said work continues in the UK to try as best we can to support, empower and encourage our Ugandan friends – to lift themselves out of poverty and plan for a sustainable future for themselves and their families.
