Tummies, trees and training

While the food crisis, through lockdown, continues we carry on feeding our street boys in Kasese and Customs. It is not too late to donate. Every £1 buys a meal.

However that is not the only vital work that our wonderful team are doing. Climate change is still one of the most important things human beings need to address and we continue to do our bit through the tree nurseries.

Three nurseries have provided 33,500 saplings which have been planted where they are needed.

Above are the first saplings planted at Kabatunda. These were handed out to the women at the women's conference.

Training (below) has been completed for more tree champions to look after and maintain a further 5 tree nurseries in areas of greatest need of planting. This is clearly not without its dangers as William takes the much needed tools up to Kyarumba. See the first photo below!

We share Bishop Nasen's vision for a tree nursery in each arch-deaconry (13 in total) and we continue to raise funds so we can begin the last 5 tree nurseries.

The tree champions have now started to get the first three existing nurseries ready to grow new saplings ready for December 2021.
