BLOG: Gladys’ Story

I live in Kitswamba  in the Rwenzori Mountains.
Through becoming a member of the first Kitswamba women’s group I have been able to take out loans. I buy seeds and grow moringa plants to sell.
I buy cassava and bananas and make pancakes (a kind of fried cake) to sell. With the profits I have repaid the loans and paid school fees for my children. I have also bought a plot of land in Kitswamba where I will build a house to rent rooms.
I have learnt to make briquettes and use them at home to cook.
I am going to use briquettes in future for my pancake business.
